Culture Snapshot Survey
The CSF Culture Snapshot consists of a Foundation survey available with or without optional modules. The optional modules probe into areas of Strategic Focus such as Innovation or provide a Deep Dive into specific aspects of culture such as Collaboration.
The Foundation survey consists of eighty item statements that examine twenty-six culture patterns across eight dimensions of culture. While some surveys focus only on engagement or task versus people orientation, the Foundation Culture Snapshot probes deeply into culture patterns which interplay to create dynamics that support or impede effectiveness.
You can build onto the Foundation Culture Snapshot survey by adding optional modules or culture patterns that provide greater breadth and/or depth of insight into various aspects of your organization’s culture. You can choose from four Strategic Focus modules. Each module contains between 15 and 20 item statements.
Alternatively, you have the option to select from five ‘Deep Dive’ modules that focus on organizational capabilities that support strategic outcomes. Private sector organizations focused on creating new kinds of solutions for clients may value Collaboration, while those seeking to increase speed and market penetration may choose Competitiveness. Public sector organizations focused on changing to new operating models, reinventing service delivery and dealing with change may value adding the Learning & Agility module. Each module contains between 15 and 20 item statements.
Full Customization Frequently new directions, business models and enterprise systems require new culture strengths. We can help you identify what needs to be different given new directions and create a measurement system for gaining feedback on progress over time. We draw on our deep research and experience in culture patterns and their dynamics and how they operate to accelerate or impede strategic outcomes.
"The ability to diagnose the beneficial attributes of a culture, and then use them to motivate strategically important behavior, is one of the key factors that differentiate peak-performing organizations from the also-rans in their field." Jon R. Katzenback and Ashley Harstak
